Agni, the first planet in orbit, is renowned for its abundance of rare crystals and ores, most notably Quasi-Quartz, which is found nowhere else in the galaxy. It is home to three dominant races: the Cheros, the Deimos, and the Pumilos. While the Cheros and Pumilos remain largely independent, they willingly supply the Niyo Empire with the resources it demands, driven by pragmatism rather than loyalty.
Vishnu, the second planet from the star, is a harsh desert world known for its vibrant dyes and rich mineral exports. Its arid landscapes are dominated by mesas, dunes, and cacti. The planet is home to two major races: the Laima and the Tlincallis. Though they share the same world, the two have long been rivals, competing fiercely over territory and dwindling resources. After only a few months under Niyo’s rule, the Tlincallis seized control of the majority of Vishnu’s supply chains, rendering the Laima helpless against the planet’s worst drought in nearly 500 years.
The third planet, Sita, and its moon, Tara, form a temperate pair within the system. Sita, with its oceans and grasslands, is the homeland of the Neumin, the dominant race of the empire. Tara, its lush, tropical moon, is home to the Kero, a group of semiaquatic people adapted to life in its dense forests and murky swamps. Though different in terrain, both worlds are rich in biodiversity and have long stood as cultural and strategic centers in the Surya System.
Yamuna, an ocean-covered planet in the asteroid belt of the Surya System, was only rediscovered when Alia accidentally input the wrong warp coordinates while attempting to return to Sita. Shrouded in mystery, Yamuna remains one of the least understood worlds in the system. Its endless seas are ridden with rusted, decaying oil rigs, remnants of a long, forgotten era, the reason for its long abandonment remains unknown. It is the ancestral home of the Mers, an aquatic people who now live in hiding, driven into the depths by imperial expansion and fear.
Indra, the massive gas giant of the Surya Star System, serves as its central trade hub and cultural crossroads. Suspended within its pink and white clouds are vast floating cities, each powered by ancient Neumin tech and modern adaptations of bioatomic energy harnessed from quasi-quartz cores. As the most urbanized world in the system, Indra buzzes with commerce, diplomacy, and quiet tensions. A melting pot of language and culture, Indra’s floating markets and skyports are filled with traders peddling rare minerals from Agni, biomechanical artifacts from Sita, and salvaged weaponry from the pre-Niyo era. Above all, Indra remains a symbol of both what was lost when the old Neumin ideals fell, and what still endures in the shadows of the empire.
Himavat, the final planet in orbit, is a subzero world almost entirely encased in ice. Once a lush, tropical planet, it was violently knocked out of its original orbit by an unknown planetoid in 55 BNE, triggering a catastrophic climate shift. By 50 BNE, Himavat had completely frozen over, forcing the native Kero to abandon their ancestral home and resettle on Tara, where they now thrive. In 2 NE, the Niyo Empire began relocating so-called “undesirables” from Sita to Himavat, condemning them to harsh labor in brutal conditions under the guise of earning freedom. The planet now stands as both a frozen graveyard of lost ecosystems and a symbol of imperial cruelty.
What began as an honest effort to harness the power of a black hole took a dark turn. The scientist Niyo, once a brilliant mind, was driven mad by the black hole’s radiation. Her original design, a massive energy-harvesting ring meant to power the entire star system, was abandoned. In its place, she constructed a vast shell around the black hole, transforming it into a planetary superweapon. No longer content with aiding Neuminity, Niyo now sought to rule it.
